Fresh

So my blog got another face-lift.  I really like it despite never being able to arrange everything on the page quite the way I want to *cough* damn you Blogger *cough*

It has always been my dream to live somewhere warmer by an ocean (with warm water I might add) with non-bipolar weather.  I've always loved most of California with it's beautiful beaches, lifeguard towers, piers, and the little travelling carnivals that visit the piers.  So I thought I would capture that dream here on the blog as best I can.

My goal is to attend Stanford or Berkeley Law School.  However, not only is it difficult to get into one of these prestigious schools, it is also very costly.  Plan B (no, not the prescription) is to go to Law School at perhaps UVic, U of T, or somewheres in the EU, and then go Stanford's 1 year Masters program that is specifically designed for people who obtained their law degree outside the States.  So we will see.  I know it's a few years away, but all my goals and dreams have been swirling in my mind lately resulting in much contemplation.

For now I'm content to dream about living in Cali, San Francisco in particular.  Taking runs/walks along the beach every morning, going surfing every week, cheaper flights to elsewhere in the world, cheaper clothes and books, more things happening in the city (concerts, art, etc), fresh seafood... the list goes on...

Next Summer Gavin and I plan to take a road trip down to Cali.  I'm very excited about it.  I haven't been down there in years, and it will be Gavin's first time seeing it all.

in other news...

I'm going to look at a couple of places tomorrow morning.  I'm really hoping that one of them will be the perfect new pad.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Also, I was on the wait list for a Religious Studies course that I really wanted to take this Fall, and a spot opened up the other night so I'm in!  Huzzah!  Now I just have to wait until July 21st and hopefully I can secure a spot in the Psych course I want to take.

One more exciting thing:  Steph is coming to visit at the beginning of Aug!  I can't wait to see her, and go river rafting, etc.  I hope the nice weather continues.  I also hope that we are all moved in and mostly settled into the new pad by the time she arrives.  If not, it will still be awesome, but it's always nice to get a new place feeling like home asap.

Ok well I'm working 7 days in a row at the moment, so I better get going with my 'to do list' before I have to get ready for work.

One Year Anniversary card

This is the card Gavin made me:

I really like making cards, so he decided to give it a try.  I think it's pretty darn cute, but Harlow is terrified of the balloons.  Seeing as the card is basically the same size that she is, I don't blame her.

P.S.  I apologize for the bad quality of pictures.  My apartment has terrible lighting for photos.  And the night time one is blurry because we wanted to capture the pretty city lights.  I need photography lessons... Especially considering how much I love photography.
